Features & Benefits
- Flexible HDPE eliminates the need for many bends and sweeps.
- Continuous long lengths, fewer joints for better system integrity.
- High tensile strength for longer pulls as an innerduct, or for directional bores and pull plowing.
- Available in a wide variety of colors for identification.
- Multiple options like internal lubrication, Bull-Line pull tape preinstalled or cable preinstalled, lowering field cable installation costs.
- Works with air-assist cable installation systems like the Arnco Air-Trak for Fiber/Coax and Maxx-Trak for larger electrical cables.
- Available on low cost steel reels or lower cost coils.

GENERAL INFORMATION:
Perma-Guard / Smoothwall provides excellent cable protection during and after installation. The conduit has smooth inner and outer walls. Used as an innerduct, it can be direct buried or encased in concrete. When compared to PVC Perma-Guard / SW has 30% lower pulling friction. The lower friction means cables can be placed over longer distances under less stress. It is supplied in long continuous lengths for fewer joints, creating a conduit system with greater integrity. Made in accordance with ASTM F 2160 standard for HDPE conduit based on controlled OD.
Wide Range of Sizes and Options:
Available in sizes ranging from 1" to 6" diameters on reels or as coils. Larger sizes for casing applications are also available up to 24" in diameter, available in 40??or 50?? lengths. A variety of wall strengths are available including Types 11 and 9, Schedules 40 & 80, SDR??s 17, 13.5, 11 and 9, to meet your project design and installation criteria. Standard color options include black, blue, green, orange, red, terra cotta, white and yellow. Special sizes, colors and configuration can be made available upon request, minimums run quantities may apply. Choose from full wall color or from more economical color options like stripes or a co-extruded jacket for identification.
Applications:
- Innerduct - Multiple lengths in sizes usually 1-1/4" and smaller pulled parallel into a larger conduit to divide itinto multiple conduits.
- Direct Buried - Burying one or more conduit lengths directly in the ground as pathways for future cable installation. Installation methods include open cut trench, pull or chute plowing, directional boring and pipe bursting.
- Concrete Encased - Where additional conduit/cable protection is required.
